Agrim Mithal

President

Agrim Mithal is a grade 11th student of Mayo college, Ajmer. Being a budding MUNner, he has taken parts in various MUNs across the globe.He has also been an Executive Board member and secretariat member in various MUNs. He is also the founder of 2 UN recognised MUNs namely Valencia MUN and Optimum MUN.

He has represented his school in various debates, Round squares and Exchanges.

An avid writer, he has written many poems and articles on various topics. His works have been even published in magazines and newsletters like the Mayoor, The Mayo gazette, La francophonie etc.
 
He is a Diploma holder in French and has cleared the DELF-A1 exam. He has also taken part in Le concours de la francophonie( An international french festival) and has even won Le Deuxieme prix  in the Poesie competition. He has cleared Trinity speech and drama grade 2 with distinction.
 
He has also cleared jazz drum Trinity examination with merit.
 
He plays multiple sports which include Squash, tennis, cricket, football, basketball, wall climbing and hockey.
 
Having a clean hand. He is a great artist and has done extensive Glass work, Clay modelling, Sculptures, Ceramics, Metal work, Aeromodelling.
 
Agrim also takes keen part in music. He plays percussion instruments and plays jazz drums,Base drum, Timpani, side drums and tenor drums. He also has some knowledge about guitar, ukulele and keyboard.

Nitya Ghai

Vice-President

Meet Nitya Ghai , a grade 11th student of Sophia Girls’ School , Meerut 

Being an avid reader and writer , has written several poems and articles on various topics which are also published in local newspaper .

She is an active member and participant of MUN’s and has also been a part of several Organising Committees in various MUN’s
 
She is an AISC State Level Champion Debater .
 
Nitya takes keen interest on several social topics and is not afraid to voice out her own opinions and take a stand on topics that matter the most to her.

Krisha Khanna

Content head

Krisha Khanna is the Content Head for Girl Up Meerut. She is a class XI student of Welham Girls’ School. She is an active feminist and runs her own organization that works towards gender equality.Recently, she has been involved in various debates and discussions about gender equality.She is an academic enthusiast along with being a national level marathon runner and a Bharatnatyam dancer.She has also volunteered for the organisation Goonj where she helped in the project about Periods during Covid-19 in villages. She hopes to continue working towards this cause and is set to impact society through her different ventures.

Gauri tyagi

Secretary

Gauri has studied in Sophia Girls’ School for the past 12 years. 
She is currently studying in Army Public School. 
Gauri has participated in various International Olympiads organized by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF). 
She has also participated in The National Science Olympiad organized by Saviours and won 2 Champions Medals for securing National Rank twice in a row. 
Gauri is also a part of the core team of Studomatrix which is a platform for school students working towards promoting a holistic development, skill development and character building of students. 
She has participated in the Diplomatron Youth Summit which was an International MUN. 
She has won prizes for proficiency in Art and Craft and Full Attendance. 
She participated in various Inter-school Basketball Tournaments and always won. 
She’s a State Level Basketball player. She has represented her city 3 times in the ASISC State level Basketball Championship organized by the UPBA and has also won a Silver medal. 
Gauri has also been selected in the city team thrice and has participated in Open State Level championships. 
Gauri is also a State Level Athlete and has represented Meerut for the ASISC State Athletics championship. 
She has lead her team as a captain and won various matches. 
She has participated in many dance and reading Activities.
She is a very hard working person with great leadership skills.

Kriti Bhargava

Events head

Kriti Bhargava, as the name suggests – work, act, creation or creativity. An honest, dedicated, creative, hard-working all-rounder. She is an ex-sophian and is presently a grade 11 student of K.L. International School.

She is a keen sports person; represented Meerut Basketball team in State level tournaments held from time to time and has also bagged the 2nd Position at the State Basketball Tournament held at Kanpur. 

She has been state ASISC athlete and has won medals in races including 800 and 400 meters at cluster meets held from time to time. 

She is also a keen academician, having interest in science. 

Apart from academics and sports, she has represented school in various activities including Robofest, Art and Craft competition, cooking etc. and has also bagged prizes for the same. She is a also a keen artist and loves exploring new things.

She has been elected the house captain and Vice Sports captain of her school.

She has also given assistance in making a number of school events successful.

Angel Ahuja

Social Media Manager

A perfect amalgam of discipline and creativity, Angel is the Social Media Manager at Girlup. 

She is a class 12 student from Dewan Public School, Meerut. She is an ex-sophian  who challenges the status quo by showcasing her knack for creating meaningful and thoughtful content. Angel is a voracious reader and a brilliant Netflix-geek. With her love for pixels and graphics, she has produced content for many valuable causes so far. 

She understands the imploding power of social media and aspires to create an impact through the same.

She possess extraordinary oratory skills, and has hosted many events at her school.

 

Angel believes that Feminism is not just a movement, its both character and mindset.
